Expert queries: asking, and becoming an expert
Put a question to experts, or list yourself as one.
Asking a question
Open Expert queries and choose Ask experts. Write your question and the context an expert needs, choose a field and a deadline, then choose one or more approved experts by their profile and rate. Switch on Verified only to see experts whose identity or credentials wrkflow has checked. Paying holds the money until each invite is resolved. An admin can set a monthly expert budget in Settings → Plan and billing; a question that would go over it is refused before anyone pays.
Anyone can browse the public expert directory at /experts, by field, by name or topic, and by verified badge.
What happens next
Each expert you chose can accept, decline or answer before the deadline. Approve an answer to pay that expert their rate minus a 12% platform fee. Ask for changes to send it back for a revision (up to two, with the payment still held), and use the question’s thread to talk to the expert. Reject it with a reason to refund that amount instead: the refund comes back after 5 days unless the expert disputes the rejection, in which case a platform admin decides whether the expert is paid or you are refunded. The expert sees your note. Declined, expired and withdrawn invites are refunded automatically.
Becoming an expert
Read how experts earn at /experts/join, then sign in at /login/expert, the expert sign-in page: continue with LinkedIn where it's offered (the first time creates your account), or sign in or create an account with your email. You land in your Expert workspace, which you can also open from your account menu. Complete your profile (your name starts as your account's name; add a headline, bio, fields, languages and your rate per answer) and send it for review. Once approved, you're listed in the directory, and organizations can choose you.
Questions you're invited to appear in your workspace. When card payments are set up on the server, payouts go through Stripe: connect a payout account, and an approved answer pays out automatically. Until then payouts are simulated and nothing is transferred.
Verified badges
wrkflow's reviewers can add an Identity verified badge (a government-issued ID checked against the person behind the profile) and a Credentials verified badge (the qualifications the profile claims, such as a bar admission, licence or certification). Organizations see the badge, and what was checked, wherever your profile appears.
Going away
In your workspace, choose Set yourself away when you're on leave or fully booked. Add a return date and a short message if you like. While you're away, organizations can't find you or send you new questions. Questions already open stay yours to answer, or you can decline them all at once, and each organization is refunded for your part. On your return date you're available again automatically, or choose Come back now.
Incognito
Switch on incognito in your workspace to hide your name, LinkedIn URL and photo from organizations and the public directory. They see an alias such as Verified expert · Labour law and a short code like EX-7Q2 instead, along with your headline, bio, fields, languages, rate and badges. wrkflow's platform admins still see who you are.
